Folded Page
Terms of service
Read about using Folded Page and my responsibilities as its operator.
Effective October 13, 2026 · Policy version 2026-10-v1
The service and its operator
I'm Cameron Westland, operating Folded Page from Ontario, Canada. In these terms, "I" and "me" mean Cameron Westland; "you" means the person who holds the account. You can contact me at cameron@foldedpage.app.
Folded Page lets you keep a journal, revisit entries, and connect an assistant. You must be at least 18 years old and reside in Canada or the United States to use the service. The privacy policy describes my handling of personal information.
Your account and connected assistant
Use an email address you control and protect access to it. Keep login codes private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, including instructions you give a connected assistant. Contact me if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission.
Connecting an assistant gives it the access shown on the consent page. Review its work and the text you ask it to save. You can disconnect it from Account. Your assistant provider has its own terms, pricing, and privacy practices.
Your journal belongs to you
You retain your rights in the content you save. You give me permission to store, process, and transmit it to provide the service, including search and access through assistants you connect. That permission covers the providers described in the privacy policy and lasts for the retention periods described there.
Save content you have the right to use. Respect other people's privacy. Do not use Folded Page to break the law, access another person's account, distribute malicious software, or disrupt the service.
Subscription, renewal, and refunds
A subscription costs US$20 per year, paid in advance, and renews each year until you cancel. Stripe handles payment. Review the checkout total before paying. You need paid access to save or edit entries.
Cancel renewal through Stripe from Account. Cancellation keeps paid access through the end of the period you paid for. After that, I allow a seven-day grace period for saving and editing. A refund ends paid saving and editing access without that grace period.
You can request a full refund within 14 days of an initial purchase or renewal by emailing me. I process refunds through Stripe and cancel future renewal when I refund the purchase. Your rights under applicable consumer law also apply.
Export, retention, and account closure
You can download your journal from Account. After paid access expires, I retain it for 365 days and provide reading, search, export, deletion, and connection management without a renewal payment. I notify you before deleting an expired account and allow at least seven days after the notice.
Moving an entry to trash allows recovery for 30 days. Permanent deletion and account closure are available on the website. Closing your account ends access; I cancel future billing and delete your journal from active storage. Backup copies expire on a separate schedule. Download anything you want to keep before closing.
Service limits and suspension
You may encounter outages, errors, or interruptions in Folded Page or its providers. I do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular interpretation from your assistant. Keep an export of entries you want to preserve outside the service.
I may restrict access to address unauthorized use, abuse, or a threat to the service. I will explain the restriction when I can do so without compromising security or violating the law. You can contact me to challenge it or request help exporting your journal.
Changes and applicable law
I will notify you of material changes to these terms or subscription pricing before they apply. A price change will apply to a future renewal, with notice before that renewal. You can cancel renewal if you do not wish to continue.
Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law govern these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. These terms do not waive consumer rights, require arbitration, or prevent you from bringing a claim where applicable law permits it.
